The International Platinum Association (IPA) is a non-profit association of the leading mining, production and fabrication companies in the global platinum group metals (PGMs) industry (member list).
Founded in December 1987 the IPA is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany and provides information on issues relating to PGMs and their many applications to interested parties around the world.
The Association is dedicated to the promotion of PGMs and fostering a better understanding of the metals' utilities and diverse roles.
Specifically the IPA:

Develops educational programmes which raise awareness of PGMs;

Maintains contact with other institutions with similar objectives to those of the IPA;

Cooperates with these institutions in ways which will benefit the development of the PGM market.
